Nancy Griffon Foundation - Annual Solicitation Letter
Good afternoon everyone and to all our corporate friends in north America, while I can't reach everyone all the time - this is our Annual Fall Solicitation Letter. Thank you.
The Nancy-Griffon Foundation - Est. 1978
The Macklin Medical Mission - Est. 1886
The Nancy Griffon Foundation which succeeded the Macklin Medical Mission in 1978/9 the Nancy Griffon Fund supports the new SMART Program to bring the only cure for paediatric leukaemia to Toronto in 2016. This process does not involve radiation which has been around since 1885 and/or chemotherapy which has been with us since 1945 (in its various forms) and other than biopsies does not include surgery. These three are merely a triage for the treatment of cancer and in no way cures cancer. This triage also as well all know has a multiplicity of side effects the most serious of which is the almost complete suppression of the auto-immune system especially for children and the elderly.
The cure which has been in clinical trials since early of March of 2012 in Philadelphia is 95% effective and involves dealing with cancer for what it is - a virus. For the 5% it merely involves a second treatment of their modified white blood cells. Cancer, although in many forms similar to the cold virus does require unique approaches as cancer varies by the very nature of the cells it attacks. The process is the same only the particular cellular structure will vary.
The cure for paediatric leukaemia has been well documented in the New England Journal of Medicine, since March of 2012, so it is relatively easy to verify what we are saying. The process is uniquely simple though it varies with each and every patient - what is impressive are the results. It doesn’t matter what stage the patient is in - Stage One to Stage Four - including tumours some of which weigh in at over four pounds. (Try holding four pounds of butter the next time you and your wife go shopping). All gone in 8 to 9 weeks - with no side effects and no negative effect on the auto-immune system of young patients. And the cancer will not re-occur.
Children by the 100’s are being saved in the US as we speak, soon to be in the 1000’s. But none in Canada unfortunately to date. Cancer funding here has most definitely has been applied to the wrong medical applications of radiology and chemotherapy to treat cancer without much to show for it, and very little of it to actual research in the laboratory.
We, at the Nancy-Griffon Foundation have been talking with the leader of the clinical trials over the last few of years to bring the science to one of the hospitals in Toronto to conduct a series of trials here and to invite Canadian patients to participate in them. With your financial help we can certainly speed this up.
We have approached a number of physicians in the greater Toronto to Barrie area to have a number of paediatric patients referred to the clinical trials in the US (which by the way were opened to Canadian patients) but they were unable to do so due to the fact that it has not been approved by OHIP here in Ontario. In fact, while the process has been widely written about in the US - we found that physicians were not fully cognizant of the program and/or willing to take advantage of it for their patients. Physicians here are on contract to their respective hospitals and the insurance risk to themselves is often cited as a major barrier to assisting their patients, especially for clinical trails.
This is a private initiative between our Foundation, two major universities and a major US pharmaceutical company - and we invite your company’s financial support.
This application of nano-nuclear immunology which uses modified white blood cells with either the adjunctive use of T-Cells or B-Cells from the patient has been well known for many years in private medical laboratories and only now is being brought to the fore to cure leukaemia in children. The use of this highly successful new treatment process, or triage, for the cure for leukaemia - will also substantially reduce the costs to the public heath care system.
